Located in the quiet Vrsovice neighbourhood, the Hotel Slavia makes a good budget base if you’re planning to visit the Rugby Club Slavia, University Hospital Kralovske Vinohrady or Charles University (3rd Faculty of Medicine), which are walking distance from the hotel. The Olsany Cemetery, where Franz Kafka is buried, is also nearby. Getting to the city centre is a breeze, as a tram stop is just down the road, while the Metro is about 10 minutes’ walk away – it takes about 20 minutes to travel from there into the city. The bedrooms at the Hotel Slavia may be basic, but they’re clean and comfortable. Each room is equipped with en-suite shower, cable TV and direct-dial telephone. Some rooms may also have hairdryers and safes. On-site are two restaurants which offer Czech and international dishes. Breakfast is served buffet style.
